More than anything latitude affects how I garden, how I experience the world around me and how I eat (well, kind of).

I live at 54.9 degrees north of the equator, in Western Europe, in the North East of England. Our weather comes predominantly from the Atlantic and this weather has a huge effect on my life. It dictates what grows well in my garden and when I can get outside and what I see when I get there.
